Seven years ago, six friends sought refuge at a void deck in a quiet neighbourhood and found a home to make music in. The empty space became a place to conjure worlds and harmonies. But as the music fizzled out, so did the ties that bound the six together. Void Deck is a story that confronts the reality of how growing up sometimes means growing apart, tackling one of the Big Questions that people ask themselves as they get older: What makes a friendship? Is it the fact that we get to be in the same space, hear the same melodies at the exact same time? Will we still be friends when we’re hearing different tunes in different time zones?
